In the days of my youth, the U.S. Dollar Coin was robust, weighty, and as big your fist (well, as big as the side of your fist). I spotted this “Moon Landing” silver dollar in the bank teller’s tray today, and it gave me pause to reflect not only on how our buying power has lessened, but also that the coins we use to buy aren’t nearly as exciting as they once were.
