Things I Actually Saw

This afternoon Lili and I attended a lecture on how the diverse cultures and tribes across the African continent regard Astronomical phenomena. The campus was expansive – I’ve actually not visited Columbia University for quite some years, and it was a nice break to take a little trip uptown for an interesting presentation.

There’s a Sunday flea market at 76th Street & Columbus Avenue that’s been a neighborhood staple since the late 1970s. Today’s the day before Valentine’s Day, and the courting never stops. Maybe Yahoo! just doesn’t want to have a relationship with Microsoft. But whoever finally wins the heart of Yahoo!, perhaps at least they’ll fix this big, costly, Times Square (crossroads of the world!) sign…
